"The law and the prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of God is preached and every man presses into it" Luke 16:16.
Matthew 11:12 says, "The Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force." When we speak of the Kingdom suffering violence we're not talking about the Kingdom itself being under attack, but rather that the use of force is necessary to force one's way into it. It really means that it calls for violence, and that the violent take it by force. There's great opposition every step of the way confronting those who want to go on with God, and the greatest opposition is from the leaders of religious systems. It expresses the earnestness that men must have to enter into it. It's an earnestness that's continually ongoing.
